Choose your starting point
Reformer Pilates All Levels offers modifications and progressions. Tell the studio that it is your first time before booking so they can confirm that the particular session is appropriate. Intermediate classes build on existing equipment familiarity.
Allow time to arrive
Your first few minutes are useful for meeting the teacher and understanding the setup. Wear comfortable movement clothing and confirm the studio’s footwear requirements. Mats and water are provided, so you do not need to bring your own. Free parking is available to members and class attendees any day, any time of the week. Put distractions away before the session begins.
Let control lead
Follow the instructor’s spring and equipment cues rather than copying a neighbour. Different settings can change both resistance and support, so more is not automatically harder or better. Ask when something is unfamiliar, and use a smaller range if that helps you stay in control.
Reflect before you progress
After class, think about what felt clear and what needs another explanation. There is no need to rush into the most advanced format. Familiarity grows by repeating the foundations and asking useful questions.
