A closer look.
Vinyasa connects postures in a flowing sequence, using the breath as a guide. Akasa’s class moves through sun salutations, standing and seated postures, with opportunities to explore a more demanding variation when it suits your practice. The emphasis is on an attentive flow rather than achieving a particular shape.
What to expect
Begin by tuning into the rhythm of your breath and preparing the body to move.
Link postures through a creative sequence, choosing modifications or optional progressions such as balances and backbends.
Slow the pace and make time for rest, allowing the energy of the practice to settle.
Is this your kind of class?
For people who enjoy continuous movement and the experience of building a sequence. If you are completely new, ask which Vinyasa session is the best starting point.
Before you arrive
Rest whenever you need. You can skip a transition or keep a familiar variation while others explore a progression.
